Recruitment

MacLellan is accredited as an Investor in People, and has been since March 2001. The award was made in recognition of our commitment to our people and to training them appropriately to meet the challenges of their work environment. Our training embraces both technical and interpersonal development. Investors In People is a national standard which sets a level of good practice for the training and development of people to achieve business goals and provides a basis for the continuous improvement of both an organisation and its personnel.

The IIP has 4 key principles. These are:

Against each of these, the standard lays out a series of indicators which organisations seeking recognition must be able to satisfy. However, it is not enough to meet the targets – organisations receiving accreditation and in particular re-accreditation, must be able to demonstrate that the training and development is an integral and important part of the company. The systems must also be in place to give every employee the opportunity to develop.

At MacLellan, we are committed to supporting personnel that wish to develop their skills. The Investors in People accreditation is a reflection of this.
